HR departments see so many CVs you need to make your CV easy to read. Under each of your employment details put bullet points about what your job entailed making it easier for the interviewer to read.

If possible, use a computer to prepare your resume, There are computer programs that make it easy to produce a professional looking resume. Your local school, library, Employment service local office can help.

Do not include irrelevant personnel information (age, weight, height, height, marital status etc.)

Do not include salary and wages.

Center or justify all headings, do not use abbreviations.

Be positive. Identity accomplishments.

Use action words for management skills such as administered, analyzed, coordinated, developed, directed, evaluated, improved, supervised.

Use action words for Technical skills such as assembled, built, calculated, designed, operated, overhauled, remodeled, repaired.

Use action words for Clerical skills such as arranged, catalogued, compiled, generated, organized, processed, persuaded, systemized.

Use action words for Communication skills such as arranged, addressed, authored, drafted, formulated.

Use action words for Creative skills such as conceptualized, created, designed, established, fashioned, illustrated, invented, performed.

Use action words for Financial skills such as administered, analyzed, balanced, budgeted, forecast, marketed, planned, projected.

Use action words for Helping skills such as assessed, coached, counseled, diagnosed, facilitated, represented.
Be specific. Use concise sentences and keep it short.
Make sure your resume Looks good!!

Use action words for Research skills such as clarified, evaluated, identified, inspected, organized, summarized.

Proofread the master copy carefully. Have someone else proofread the master copy carefully.

Inspect photocopies for clarity, smudges and marks.

Use proper language .... Do not use slang terms.

In advance of your interview, make certain that you dress appropriately for the interview. When dressing for the interview, you need to pay heed to the type of job that you are applying for at the time

If you are asked to provide additional information to the potential employer during the course of the interview, make certain that you do provide the materials that were requested during the interview promptly.

Make certain that you send a follow up note to the person who interviewed you. Even in this high-tech age, a written (rather than electronic) note is best. You might want so send both an email and a written note to the interviewer.

Before the interview : Learn as much as you can about the company salary and benefits. Friends neighbors and relatives who work for the company are good sources of information.
